Asics always dependable - I can always count on Asics for the most comfortable fit for my wide, flat feet. These seemed to have the arch support further toward the heel than I would've liked. I have a little bone that protrudes beneath my ankle bone so it takes a "just so" fit to be comfortable. I stand on my feet all day at work in a kitchen and these were a godsend. I don't run so I can't say anything about their performance in that area. But they are very cushiony and supportive in all the right places. I love the little shocks in the back but I could do without the silly metallic stripes.
